Q. Please brief us about the exports and overseas operations & what are the global alliances that has been made in order to out-front the competition?
We Mehta Cad Cam System have delivered machines to every corner of India for decades and continue to build our client base in many nations across the world.
With our manufactured globally acclaimed range of machines we already have our strong distribution network of distributors in eight countries across world.
Mehta not only leads in the domestic market, but has also established a significant position in the international market over years. Currently, we are mostly focused on South American, African, and Gulf countries, which is plainly reflected in our sales.
With the intention of growing internationally, we are working to build more and more distributors in other countries.
We have alliances with some of the world’s largest component suppliers, like Synrad USA, for Co2 metal laser tubes. Mehta will soon be starting Synrad’s only refiling and repairing center in India to meet the needs of the Indian manufacturers as well as those of other manufacturers of other Asian countries.
We have several strategic ties with important component suppliers to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products and prompt after-sales service to our customers.
Q. What are the market prospects for the MEHTA CAD CAM products in India and How do you plan to position these products?
Because of our wide range of product line and our priority for quality and quick sales and service support, you can see that Mehta’s products have great potential across industries.
Even during the time of crisis, we see our sales graph moving upward. We have a large chunk of orders received from our existing customers, which is an absolute achievement for us as a company and is strong evidence of our strong leadership.
We are constantly investing heavily in research and development and making improvements to our existing facilities to keep up with international standards. We have four huge manufacturing plants backed by our strong team of R & D in Ahmedabad.
Q. Can you brief us about the marketing strategies that were applied in order to stand out in the competition of machine tool industry?
As said earlier, we have maintained 22 branch offices across the cities of India since 20 years to ensure quick sales and service support to our customers. Our team is always in direct contact with the end users of the machines.
This helps us to understand our customers’ needs and requirements in a much better way and helps us to design our products as per the actual needs of the market. From time to time, we at Mehta Cad Cam have been launching new models to keep up with new technologies and market needs.
Q. Please elucidate in brief about the company’s infrastructure & What are the measure that are being taken from the product manufacturing to distribution?
We have four state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, a strong team of technical personnel, and a powerful service network of 22 branch offices across India. We are continuously investing in expanding our infrastructure to meet market demand for Mehta’s made machines.
In the future, you will see Mehta manufacturing machines on a much larger scale than its already existing capacity.
As stated before, our branch offices in Indian cities are the way we keep connected with our customers directly, and as for the international market, we already have a distributor network and we are working to expand the same.
Q. Brief us about the R&D and Quality policy for your business?
At Mehta, we have a special department for research and development. Our R & D team works continuously to improve our existing range of products. We have developed the best fiber laser welding machine. Recently, we have installed India’s first indigenously manufactured 12kW fiber laser cutting machine at a customer’s place, and soon we will be bringing our 20kW fiber laser metal cutting machine to the market.
Q. Please comment on the current machine tool scenario in India?
In one line, “This is India’s Time.” For Indian machine tool industry, this is the most booming time ever. India is already moving towards becoming the manufacturing hub of the world.
Most of our industries are still working with the same old technology. Investing in better and newer technology will surely provide them with better opportunities and grow their business.
Q. How do you perceive the future of the Indian machine tool industry?
This is the best time for the Indian machine tool industry to cater to the needs of the Indian market as India is moving towards being the world’s manufacturing hub. Not only in the Indian market, India’s machine tool industry is marking its strong presence across the globe and competing, especially with Chinese machines and tool manufacturers.
