Automation Expo 25 organised by IED Communications Ltd founded by the late Dr. M. Arokiaswamy, incepted as a biennial in 2002 with just 157 exhibitors, has become an annual event from 2011.Â

Automation 2025 was inaugurated at 10 am on August 11, in the presence of the Board of Directors – panel of stalwarts in the field of Instrumentation and Automation who mentor and guide the event – and a galaxy of VIPs, special invitees, guests and exhibitors. Mr. B. Narayan, Group President (Procurement and Projects), Reliance Industries Ltd. was the Chief Guest gracing the occasion. Guests of Honor were Padmashri Prof. Dr. G.D. Yadav, Bhatnagar Fellow & National Science Chair (ANRF / DST / GOI), and Emeritus Professor of Eminence, Vinayak Marathe, Head – India Business Operation, Philip Townsend Associates, and Ritwij Kulkarni, Country Head, Honeywell Automation. While the central theme for Automation Expo 2025 was ‘Crafting a Resilient & Sustainable Future Through Automation’, the Expo showcased four major special zones viz. Robotics, Machine Vision, SustainTech and Startup. Other focus areas included IIoT, smart factories, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled digital twins, reflecting the latest Industry 4.0 trends. The Expo also held a series of expert-led conferences and workshops on the latest trends in automation technologies.
Exhibitors from over 35 countries showcased a wide array of automation and instrumentation solutions at the event. Some 70,000+ unique visitors including engineers, decision-makers, plant heads, and sustainability specialists walked through the three halls during the four day event. A whopping 40,000 plus innovative products and systems covering a comprehensive range of solutions were showcased in one venue.Â
