The recently concluded TAGMA Die Mould Exhibition saw the Launch of India’s first EDM Handbook published and released by EDM Productivity Forum (EPF). This is India’s first and most unique Technical EDM Handbook documenting some impressive Case Studies from more than 10 Tool Rooms across India. The Case Studies explain how these Tool Rooms have managed Breakthrough improvements in their EDM Section leading to improving Performance in their Machine Shops.
The EDM Handbook was Launched by Mr A Dayananda Reddy, President TAGMA in presence of esteemed EC Members of TAGMA including Mr D K Sharma, Mr D M Sheregar and others. Commenting on the event Mr Reddy said “I am delighted to introduce this unique initiative by Prime Industries. The current scenario demands continual Improvement on Productivity by all Tool Rooms and EPF is well poised to help the entire Indian market in this regard.”
EDM Productivity Forum (EPF) is promoted by Prime Industries and supported by leading OEM’s like Makino and others. EPF envisions to promote Excellence and share Best Practices in the EDM Industry. The Flagship EDM Summit in November 2015 saw a huge response with almost 250 people from over 150 Tool Rooms visiting the event held in cities of Nasik-Mumbai-Pune-Aurangabad in 4 days. The Handbook is a compilation of case studies by clients like Godrej Tooling, Renata Precision, Endurance Technologies, Videocon and others which were also showcased in the EDM Summits.
The Handbook received a very positive response as a Technical Manual during the TAGMA Exhibition. Commenting on the occasion, Mr D K Sharma (VP, Godrej Tooling and Member EC, TAGMA) noted “It is the right time to bring a different energy to the market and this Technical Initiative from Prime Industries should not only help the Indian market but establish Prime Industries as an authority on EDM Machining, something the EDM market will Welcome openly.”
