The UT 500 Duo, a compact CNC turning center that is designed to enhance productivity and streamline machining processes.
The UT 500 Duo features a sub spindle with its own linear axis and synchronous control, enabling on-the-fly transfer of parts from the main spindle to the sub spindle. This innovative design allows for simultaneous machining on both spindles, effectively completing both operations in a single setup and significantly reducing throughput time.
Equipped with a 12-station servo indexing hydraulic locking turret and a twin-sided tool disc, the UT 500 Duo delivers impressive versatility, accommodating various machining needs. This machine also offers superior inline accuracy compared to conventional methods that require multiple setups, which can lead to inaccuracies and additional load/unload times.
For long and slender shaft components, our machine allows for complete machining in one loading, with the added benefit of intermittent component transfers without the need for a steady rest. A pneumatic operated part catcher facilitates efficient unloading of components from the sub spindle following the second operation.
When paired with a bar feeder and parts catcher, the UT 500 Duo transforms into a fully automated cell, enabling seamless operation from raw bar to finished parts efficiently.
Various work holding options are available, including 3 jaw chucks, collet attachments, and dedicated fixtures tailored to suit your component specifications. To ensure safe and trouble-free operation, all necessary safety interlocks and provisions are included.
The Machine is available in two lengths: 350 mm and 500 mm, allowing you to choose the right fit for your production needs.
