The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed the requirement of contact-less MHE & automation in various operations at warehouses, retail outlets and factories due to safety concerns over manual operation and labour shortages.
KION India has India’s largest & most modern MHE manufacturing facility at Pune which comprises of international standard production facility with 3 powered & 2 static lines, PU Paint shop, in-house R&D Centre, advanced Quality & Testing facilities. We produced IC forklifts ranging from 1.5T-16T, Electric forklifts from 1.5T-3.5 T, Warehousing products e.g. Electric Stackers, Battery operated pallet trucks, Tow Trucks and Reach trucks. All the investment made in 2019 for modern facility has paid off during the pandemic times as it helped us to manage the operations in contact less environment. We have managed the entire operations with same efficiency by less than 50% employees through contact-less initiatives. All the sales and service personnel were digitally active & working remotely for resolution of customer requests and concerns. Our service team remains focused on customer’s productivity, performance and availability of MHE equipment & is managing the entire fleet digitally.

KION India recently launched the PLUS+++ Series diesel & electric forklifts of capacities ranging 1.5Ton to 3Ton under brand OM having upgraded performance, Safety and Life Features. The entire launch & marketing activities of Plus+++ Series including training to sales, service & channel partners team were carried out digitally during H2-2020. The new Plus +++ series forklifts are value products for Indian workload requirement. These products materialized due to continuous technological innovation at our inhouse R&D Center.
